About Me

Hi! I'm Meredith Riley Stewart. I'm an actor based in NYC, a serial networker, businesswoman, and craft beer zealot. I'm a 21st Century mash-up of sophisticated grace and wisecrackery. Born and raised in Alabama, I add Southern charm, along with big city sass, to all the projects I'm involved in. 

I am a performer in many respects, having danced professionally with Jeanne Ruddy Dance for six seasons.  I have also acted and danced in numerous stage productions at well-known theatres such as the Walnut Street Theatre and the Arden Theatre.  I even danced across the small screen in Boardwalk Empire.  Recently, I played the role of "Shelby" in Cape May Stage's production of Steel Magnolias, opposite multiple Tony and Emmy winners.  As a new member of the Workshop Theater Company, I look forward to working with playwrights to bring their ideas to life on the stage. I have studied with many great teachers including JoAnna Beckson, Penny Templeton and the late George DiCenzo. I am most interested in collaborating with filmmakers to create work that is grounded in reality, emotionally true and brings to life the subtle realities of the human condition.

For Pink's Sake

After my mother survived breast cancer, I wanted to create a way to raise money for this cause on an on-going basis. My organization, For Pink's Sake, is committed to raising funds for breast cancer awareness, research and eradication. We bring people together for fantastic functions with the underlying purpose of charitable giving.
